Following on from the success of the first event in June 2021, the Executive Committee is planning another Research Thinktank, which will take place via Zoom at 13:00 GMT on 17th February 2022.
The Thinktank is an interactive online event that gives our members an opportunity to share ideas for new international research projects and join in discussions that will help to inform our future research strategy.
The call for project ideas closed on 6th December and the six most promising submissions have now been invited to make a five minute presentation at the Thinktank. Presentations will be followed by group discussions, open to all Collaborative members, in which submissions can be examined in more detail.
The programme includes:
Pitch 1 | Developing an EU Bid for the implementation and impact of the 10/40 Model | Prof. CJ Furst (Sweden) & T McGlinchey (UK) |
Pitch 2 | Strategies for dissemination for iLIVE (WP8) | Dr M Martin-Rosello (Spain) |
Pitch 3 | Dry mouth in patients with a life-limiting condition or frailty: a two-track non-pharmacological and pharmacological intervention study | Dr A Stoppelenburg (Netherlands) |
Pitch 4 | COMCARE: the Serious Illness Conversations EU Horizon submission | Prof. A van der Heide (Netherlands) & Dr S Mason (UK) |
Pitch 5 | Project India: Improving the quality of end of life care in an intensive care setting | P Jose RN (India) |
Pitch 6 | Improving weekend handovers for home-based palliative care patients through use of a specific tool | Dr G Goldraij (Argentina) |
This members-only event will shape our research strategy and ensure that all of our members have a say in the Collaborative's future direction, and we very much hope that you will attend and contribute to the discussions. Zoom invitations have been circulated to all members, and we recommend you save the date to be sure that you can join us for this exciting interactive event!
If you're a member and haven't yet received your Zoom invitation, please email the Coordinating Centre now to ensure that you don't miss out.
